The Graveyard

Concept work

Sometimes I make some pretty cool stuff—and, for one reason or another they don’t make it. A client may change their direction mid-production, some projects get canceled, or a pandemic throws a wrench into a whole campaign. Either way, it can be disappointing to think some great works are bound to gather dust inside a hard drive. The Graveyard is meant to share those gems that might otherwise be left in the mine.

Patrón’s Margarita of the Year 2020 VizID Exploration
Our team was working furiously to make a visual laguage to brand Margarita of the Year 2020. We made iterations of logos and type treatments based on hand painted signs in Mexico. We even went as far as to design the supers for our content series. While we were building the plane as it was taking off—the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the whole campaign was postponed. Thanks covid…

Handbook Illustrations for USAA
These illustrations I made were intended to be used in an ad campaign inspired by military perfection. Unfortunately, they were cut mid-production.
